Cuttlefish, also known as sepia, is a close relative of the squid. It is regarded as having a more pristine ink than that of squid, and is better suited for cooking due to its rich flavor profile. It adds flavor, and stunning black color to paellas, rice dishes, pastas and risottos.
Fisherman’s Pride® ink is pasteurized and can be stored unopened for up to 2 years. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 7-10 days. No artificial preservatives are added and ink can also be frozen after opening to extend its use.
Fisherman’s Pride® Cuttlefish Ink exceeds the highest standards of quality in the industry. Supervised under HACCP guidelines and the strictest of quality control for consistency, excellence and value with every jar purchased.
Fisherman’s Pride® Ink is harvested from the freshest wild caught Cuttlefish and processed within hours of harvest in Spain.
